Victoria Van Voorhis has worked in the education and technology industry for more than 10 years. She is the founder and CEO of Second Avenue Software, Inc., a woman-owned business that specializes in the development of award winning interactive media and serious games for education and training. Prior to founding Second Avenue, Victoria was a teacher at the middle school, high school and college levels. She played a leadership role in evolving the Xerox Corporation’s business and innovation strategy. Her goal for Second Avenue is to creatively blend pedagogy with technology to create innovative learning environments, solutions and curriculum that empower teachers, engage students, and evolve learning to a digital platform. Victoria received her undergraduate degree from Smith College and her master’s degree from New York University.  She resides in Pittsford, NY, with her husband and children.

Susan P. Byrd has been involved with Second Avenue Software initially as a consultant, then as employee and board member since 2009. Prior to entering her current role with Second Avenue, Susan contributed her management expertise to a range of corporations. Most recently, she served as Vice President, Strategy and Business Development for Ultralife Corporation — a global provider of portable and standby power solutions for government, defense and commercial customers. Previously, Susan had an eighteen-year career at Xerox, where she held senior positions in general management, strategy, customer research, marketing and alliances. Prior to work at Xerox in both Stamford, CT, and Rochester, NY, Susan was Vice President of Business Development for Mercator — a merchant bank specializing in foreign trade and corporate development. Susan earned a BA in Economics from Mount Holyoke College and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Wharton School. She is active in her community and serves on several non-profit and profit company boards.

Steve Nazarian is Second Avenue's Vice President of Development & Delivery. Steve brings more than two decades of cross-functional experience in technology, software, marketing, communications and manufacturing. Steve's focus is facilitating clear communications across multiple and disparate disciplines while serving the common goals of the company. As a father of four school-aged children and self proclaimed technogeek, Steve shares Second Avenue's passion and drive for fun, effective and meaningful technology in education. Steve holds a BA in English/Theatre from Lehigh University. He lives in Penfield, NY with his wife Emily, four children and one dog.

With more than a dozen years in the industry, Susan Colodny brings her design talents and brand sensitivity to the Creative Director role at Second Avenue. Her talents extend across electronic media, visual identity, and marketing communications design. She has contributed to creating and sustaining durable brands for clients including: IBM, Chevron, John Deere, Xerox, BASF, The Hartford, Bausch & Lomb, TIAA-CREF, Pepsi, UBS, Rand McNally, St. John's University, Smith College, Vassar College, and Harvard Business School. The award-winning designer strives to be both a creative strategist and a strategic creative. Susan graduated from Smith College with a BA in Economics and earned a master's in Design & Typography from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Mike Gamin is Second Avenue’s Director of Development and a proponent of play in learning. Mike has worked in the education industry for six years and has been developing computer applications for nine years. Mike has led the development teams for clients including Pearson, McGraw-Hill, The Center for Educational Technology at Wheeling Jesuit University, NeoSci, and Holt Rinehart and Winston. Mike holds a master's degree in Information Technology with concentrations in Web Application Development and Game Programming from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
